Make Sure You Truly Understand A Neighborhood Before You Commit Yourself

Now it’s time to get in the car and drive to the actual neighborhoods to see what’s out there.  I recommend having a plan that includes at least three things:

  1. Seeing three sites of interest

  2. Driving by three houses for sale in your price range

  3. Making a point to ask locals about the area.  You can find much of this information and even a buyer’s agent for the area by either (i) consulting the GillanGuide, (ii) working with a knowlegeable local agent, or (iii) researching your prospective town on the internet.

What Matters Most Program

Finding the right neighborhood for you is critical and there is no better place to start than reviewing what matters most to you on our What Matters Most Checklist which is available in our GillanGuide books.
